The Morrison Art Studio is located on the bottom floor of the Morrison Residence Hall and provides residential students an opportunity to unleash your inner artist. The first of its kind, the Morrison Art Studio was created in the fall of 2018 through a partnership with Carolina Housing, the Department of Art and Art History, and Arts Everywhere. These three partners envisioned a space where creative potential can be unleashed, right at students’ doorsteps.
The 24-seat studio features free use of all the supplies you’ll need for painting and drawing and an artist-in-residence who is a graduate student working toward their Master of Fine Arts degree. The artist-in-residence serves as a resource to all visitors.
Location:
Morrison Residence Hall: 445 Paul Hardin Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. (Entrance is located through the far side of the Nina Chanel Abney basketball court, pathway and door are wheelchair accessible.)
