We are now accepting applications for our Haulin' Heels program though July 31!
From drinking from the Old Well on the first day of classes to rushing Franklin Street, Carolina has many great tried and true traditions. Come be a part of this tradition – Haulin’ Heels!
In August, our Carolina Community will be welcoming thousands of first year students as they travel to Chapel Hill. Moving into Carolina during your first year can be has hectic as it is exciting. To assist in this process, Carolina Housing is continuing the Haulin’ Heels program for its second year! We had an incredible launch to the Haulin’ Heels program last year and are looking for the next group of students to help their peers move into their residence hall. We are excited that the application to sign-up for this opportunity is now open!
Volunteers will be able to sign up for at least one two-hour shift working at one of our first-year residence hall communities while helping first years and their families move in. Volunteers will be able to select the shifts they are willing to work and are encouraged to participate in as many shifts as they would like.
- Friday, August 17th & Saturday, August 18th
- Two hour shifts, between 9am - 5pm
Why Should I Participate?
- Volunteer while connecting with other Carolina students and their families
- Develop leadership and interpersonal skills
- Interact with and work alongside university staff
- Get a free t-shirt and some free meals!
- Move in early (Wednesday, August 15 at 9am)
