Residence Halls

Welcome to Mo-Town!

During a renovation in 2007, Morrison – or Mo-Town as residents call it – received many new features that make it unique compared to any other hall on campus. The renovation included the installation of real-time energy consumption monitors, as well as rewiring for energy efficiency to make it the only “green” residence hall.

Also, the top three floors were converted into SuperSuites – an extremely popular floor plan where six residents share a bathroom and a common living area.

Morrison is attractive to residents who love south campus but want to shorten their daily walk to class by a few minutes. Morrison is located just steps away from the Rams Head Center which includes a dining hall, market, gym, and Starbucks.

What Tar Heels are Saying

I love having a SuperSuite, because I have a separation between entertaining my friends and where I live.”

-Erin, Morrison resident

I love the vibrancy of the Morrison community and the fact that the majority of the people I love are only a couple floors above me, if not closer. Everyone's friendly, music is always playing, something is always happening.”

-Devon, Morrison resident
