Hello future Tar Heels! Whether you have already attended orientation or are eagerly anticipating your upcoming session later this summer, Carolina Housing sends you a big, warm welcome to UNC Chapel Hill!
Orientation can be a whirlwind of emotions from meeting fresh faces, navigating campus, and staying in a residence hall for your very first time. Although you may be nervous, orientation is the start of your college career, the place where you will meet your best friends, pursue new passions, and experience a time in your life like no other.
Our goal at Carolina Housing is to make the move-in process as seamless and as fun as possible. Our marketing interns gave us some helpful tips about living on campus as a first-year student, “Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, especially during Week of Welcome. Go to those events and make new friends!” Says Rose, a rising junior. Christina, who is also a rising junior, said, “Just be open minded, don’t be scared. Everyone is new to campus you’re not alone, so just try to put yourself out there!”
