Stay Warm During This Week’s Extreme Cold Weather

January 21, 2025 | | |

This week, we’re experiencing unusually cold weather conditions, making it the perfect time to stay indoors as much as possible. If you need to venture outside, the National Weather Service strongly advises dressing in layers and covering all exposed skin to minimize the risk of hypothermia or frostbite.

Here are a few fun and creative ways to make the most of your time while staying cozy inside your residence hall:

Game Night

Gather your suitemates for a fun and relaxing board game night! Wrap yourself in cozy blankets and enjoy some quality time with a little friendly competition.

Movie Marathon

Cold weather practically demands a movie marathon. Share your favorite movie series with friends or explore new films together. For extra comfort, build a blanket fort and turn it into your own indoor theater!

Book Club

Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or tea and get lost in a good book. Whether it’s a solo reading session or a shared experience with friends, diving into a new story is the perfect way to spend a chilly day.

We hope these ideas inspire you to enjoy some indoor fun while waiting for the weather to warm up (hopefully soon!).
