Hello Future Tar Heels!

Move-In is almost here, and Carolina Housing eagerly anticipates seeing our residence halls filled with students once again. We want to ensure you stay updated on the incredible resources available to make your Carolina experience truly unforgettable. Stay informed and stay connected—we’re here to help you make the most of every moment at Carolina!

There are numerous ways for students and parents to access the latest news. One key resource is the Carolina Housing website, where you can find the Fall Move-In Guide available all summer long. This guide is packed with essential information about the move-in process, including what to bring, what not to bring, and much more! Additionally, we offer a comprehensive resource webpage featuring links to everything discussed in our summer orientation sessions, conveniently curated in one place.

Social media is another excellent tool for staying informed. Carolina Housing is active on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Pinterest. Regardless of your preferred platform, we regularly post updates to keep students and parents aware of upcoming events, important dates, deadlines, and fun glimpses of student life on campus!

Our Summer Education Series, featured on our social media, blog, and YouTube, showcases the expertise of the Carolina Housing staff. For example, ResNET Director Phil Young provides insights on technology and device connectivity. Becca Gillison, who oversees student staff hirings for Carolina Housing, discusses available employment opportunities. Jordan Cady, the Assistant Director for Assignments, highlights key points regarding the housing assignment process.

These are just a few examples—the Summer Education Series is incredibly valuable for both incoming and returning students. Whether you’re sending a package for the first time, connecting your laptop to the network, exploring student staff opportunities, or learning how to engage with your community, Carolina Housing has all the resources you need to succeed.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment on social media, call, email, or visit the Carolina Housing office. We are here and eager to assist and support you throughout your journey living on campus at Carolina!
