Welcome to the roommate matching site for UNC Chapel Hill's Department of Housing and Residential Education. We want to make your experience at UNC the best that we can, so we are offering this service to help you find a potential roommate. By registering with the site, you can create a profile that describes your preferences and you can search for similar people, hopefully helping you find a great person to live with and some new friends.

AOL users: Please note that  AOL is rejecting the confirmation e-mails sent from our registration process. You will need to use a non-AOL e-mail address in order to register. Also, the AOL browser has some issues with our login as well. We are looking into this, but in the interim we recommned you use Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Firefox to access our site. You can use any of these other browsers once you start an AOL session.

You can contact other people via private messages and e-mail without having to reveal your own e-mail address until you are ready to do so. You can also make connections with other site users anonymously if you want to learn more about someone. 

 As much as we hope that this tool will assist you in finding a compatible roommate, the Department of Housing and Residential Education cannot guarantee that this will ensure a successful roommate relationship. We encourage you to be open and honest with prospective roommates. If problems occur with a new roommate, please remember that your Resident Advisor is available to assist you with roommate challenges. We encourage roommates and suitemates to enter into a roommate or suitemate agreement at the outset of the year. Ask your RA for additional details.
